Best one was Voices Without Votes.
Apparently, we’re now assholes because we don’t let Bosnian peasants vote in our elections.
I suppose if they could, we’d have polices in place to send them better underwear...
And today’s piece with the New Zealand bitch criticizing American ‘democracy’ as a concept.
Let’s remove the nuclear umbrella protecting HER kiwi ass, and rejoice when the Jakartan Islamo-Fascists island hop over there for lunch...
If they’re fuc*in Marxists, come out and SAY it, that I could respect.
But these dainty little British tea room socialists turn my stomach...
Removed it after reading it again...

Don`t believe all that. I mean: he has seven palaces at Sardinia, & what do they eat in Sardinia? Casu marzu! (see last line of text)

What a pity that I cannot find a website on Elisabeth Jaquet de la Guerre
Thought it would work, & it did
Buy a ting like this
Should contain, in this order, cherries without pips, water & sugar; no chemical sweeteners!
Best with sour-bitter cherries or with bitter-sour ones
All ingredients at room temperature
Drain cherries & save liquid
Dissolve yeast in liquid
Mix in flour untill nearly a dough (so: just still mixable with a whisker)
Add a pich of salt & mix in
Beat an egg with some sugar untill velvet & fold in
Oint oven dish with some sunflower oil, skoop in dough, spread evenly & let raise; height of dough/size of dish a bit under the diameter of a cherry
Push cherries in dough & bake for about 15 minutes in a hot oven; continue baking another 20 minutes in a moderate oven
Let cool & serve with whipped cream
Bit like Clafoutis

Don`t know if this should go under Museums or Computer
Made that tonight so wanted to put a link here to a recipe in English
No recipe but I did find: myself...
Well, recipe then
In water with coco (milk, "butter", shredded), some salam and salt cook cabbage leaves until foldable
Add herbs & spices to ground pork (of half pork half beef), a bit like this
(I also add some cardamom, some red curry paste which you can buy ready made; preferable if no fresh ingredients can be found, & some ground cumin)
Forgot to mention that first I boil lontong in the coco water, but plain rice is OK too
Make packets with meat in cabbage leaves
Put in a stewing pan, loose side down
Mix a part of the coco water with curry paste, pour in, bring slowly to the boil & cook packets slowly for 20 minutes
Heat cubes of lontong around the packets or serve with plain rice or with nasi kuning
This recipe is from Java; on Lombok it`s made with goat meat, hence the local name, bèhbuttok...

I am very bizzy at the moment & shall be posting once in two or three days
Couldn`t have continued posting every day the year around anyway, being sailing a large part of the April - October period
Communism now, or better: it`s relics
Wanted to make a posting on communist embalmed ex leaders:
New suit for Lenin (also search for him in this blog!)
(Lenin alone there, still with company here; nice pic)
Then it became more difficult; only Mao found here
More difficult even; no Ho Chi Minh, no Kim Il-Sung...
(Why would it be that only communist ex leaders are embalmed?-)
how about some North Korea propaganda?
Or some Mao propaganda or Mao clips
Or just some Mao pics

First bug ever
Thailand, our queen being there to get someone out of jail (guy being declared innocent & after that sentenced for life) (I knew a guy in Bangkok that had been picked of the street by the police, spent 30 years in prison & got released as being innocent)
Bhumibol (good story)
Palace (the hundreds of century old "bonsai" Hortensias in their porcelain containers, all around the palace, are worth the trip)
Living in Indonesia, I spent half a year looking out of a window, seeing (& taking pics) of how a river bed, filled with lava, was cut open again. Near Jokya. On the other side was a small shop where one could have one`s clothings color changed. Shop was called Rimbo.
I did not go to ask what the name meant, I wanted to find out for myself. One day I got it:
(Searching found this & this)
I did want to find out for myself what Rimbo meant, just like Sammy wanted to find out by himself what the Fried Pimp in a Turkish restaurant was meant to be (can you find out without help?)
